If you do not meet the requirements for cancelling due to medical limitations/restrictions or relocation (including military deployment), you may cancel with a buy-out option if you meet the following criteria:
- You signed the contract anytime after the year 2017 and the buyout clause exists on your membership agreement (on the back of the contract, item 8 of Consumer Disclosures on contracts written before April 2022, and item 7 of Consumer Disclosures on contracts written after April 2022).
- The challenge has ended or 16-weeks have elapsed and you have not successfully completed the challenge, or the challenge is still on-going and you believe that you will not be able to successfully complete the challenge.
- Your account is current and in good standing and you have made at least four payments towards the challenge (inclusive of the initial investment), or intend to make the payment(s) necessary to arrive at the four payments for the challenge program in order to be eligible for the buy-out.
If you meet all of the above conditions you may cancel with the buy-out clause by sending a request via USPS Certified Mail to NAC to cancel the membership and including a check or money order, or providing NAC authorization to bill your method of payment on file, in the amount of either $200 or 50% of the REMAINING term contract balance, whichever is the greater amount. Please contact NAC to determine the proper amount if you are unsure.
